Hip-Hop’s Origins: The Art of Sampling, Genre-Mixing and Cultural Politics


In 1973, The Incredible Bongo Band birthed "Apache," a timeless classic that marked the inception of sampling in Hip-Hop. This practice allows artists to craft narratives stemming from personal experiences influenced by the stories of others. It's a continuous cycle of inspiration, where artists build upon the foundations laid by those who came before them.
